Shipping Policy - the basics

Shipping Policy

We proudly ship our artwork from Canada to customers across Canada, the United States and destinations worldwide.

Our products include limited edition art prints, posters, framed glass artwork, original paintings and other specialty pieces. Because our products vary considerably in size, weight, value, and packaging requirements, shipping methods and costs may vary by item and destination.

Order Processing

Most orders are prepared for shipment within 1-2 business days after payment has been confirmed.

Framed artwork, oversized pieces, functional art, original artwork, and specially packaged items may require additional preparation time to ensure they are properly protected for transportation.

Custom, made-to-order, or special-edition items may have different processing times.

Any substantially longer production time will be indicated on the applicable product page and communicated to the customer.

Depending on the destination, package size, weight, value, and service availability, orders may be shipped using:

FedEx

Another reputable carrier when necessary

We reserve the right to select the most appropriate carrier and service for the safe and economical delivery of an order. Customers possibly cannot always select a specific carrier unless that option is provided during checkout.

Shipping Within Canada

Canadian orders may be shipped using Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, or another suitable carrier.

Shipping charges are based on factors including package dimensions, weight, destination, value, and service selected.

Larger products, including framed artwork and 24 × 36-inch posters, may require oversized packaging and potentially may cost more to ship than standard art prints.

Applicable Canadian sales taxes will be charged as required by law.

International Shipping

We offer international shipping to many countries and territories where carrier service and applicable laws permit.

International delivery times vary significantly depending on the destination, carrier, selected service, customs processing and local delivery conditions.

Estimated delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated by the carrier.

Customs, Duties, Taxes & Import Fees

International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage charges, customs clearance fees, handling charges, and other fees imposed by the destination country, customs authority, carrier, or other third party.

These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping charge unless specifically stated otherwise at checkout.

Our standard international shipping method is therefore intended to have import-related charges collected from the recipient where applicable.

We do not control the amount of customs duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other import charges imposed by another country.

By placing an international order, the customer acknowledges that additional charges may be payable before or upon delivery.

Customs Declarations

All international shipments will be accurately declared in accordance with applicable customs requirements.

The actual nature and appropriate value of the merchandise will be declared on customs documentation.

We cannot:

Declare a commercial purchase as a gift;

Artificially reduce the declared value of an order;

Provide false customs information; or

Alter customs documentation for the purpose of avoiding duties or taxes.

Requests to do so will be declined.

Refused Customs Charges or Refused Deliveries

Refusing to pay customs duties, taxes, brokerage charges, or other import fees does not cancel an order or make those charges the responsibility of the seller.

If a shipment is refused, abandoned, or returned because the recipient:

Refuses to pay customs duties or taxes;

Refuses delivery;

Fails to collect the package;

Provides an incorrect or incomplete address; or

Otherwise prevents successful delivery,

The customer may be responsible, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for the original shipping cost, return shipping charges, customs charges, brokerage fees, carrier fees, and any other costs charged as a result.

If a refund is otherwise applicable, these costs may be deducted from the refund.

Oversized & Fragile Artwork

Depending on the destination, these shipments may be subject to:

Oversize package charges;

Additional handling charges;

Remote-area surcharges;

Special packaging requirements; or

Carrier service limitations.

If a carrier identifies a significant additional shipping charge before dispatching that was not captured during checkout, we will contact the customer before shipping.

No additional charge will be applied without the customer's approval. If an acceptable shipping method cannot be arranged, the affected order may be cancelled and refunded before shipment.

Framed Glass Artwork

Framed glass pieces are packaged with additional care to reduce the risk of damage during transit.

Because glass is inherently fragile, customers should inspect framed artwork promptly after delivery.

If an item arrives damaged, please retain:

The artwork;

The frame and glass;

All internal packaging;

The shipping carton;

The shipping label; and

Any other packaging materials.

Please create several distinct photographs of both the damaged item and packaging and contact us as soon as reasonably possible. We appreciate your understanding.

The carrier may also require additional photographs, the packaging materials, or inspection of the shipment when processing a damage claim.

Disposing of the package or damaged item before the claim has been reviewed may affect our ability to pursue a carrier claim. Nothing in this section limits any rights the customer may have under applicable consumer protection law.

Tracking

Tracking information will be provided whenever tracking is available for the selected shipping service.

Once a package has been transferred to the carrier, tracking updates and estimated delivery dates are controlled by that carrier.

International tracking may occasionally pause while an item is being processed by customs or transferred to a local delivery service.

Customs & Delivery Delays

International packages may be delayed by customs inspections, border processing, weather, transportation disruptions, labour disruptions, holidays, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside our control.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities or shipping carriers, although we will make reasonable efforts to assist customers with legitimate shipment issues.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses

Please contact us immediately if an address needs to be corrected.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

Once an order has been shipped, we cannot guarantee that an address can be changed.

Any carrier address-correction fees, re-routing charges, return shipping charges, or re-shipping costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the customer's responsibility.

Returned Packages

If a shipment is returned to us as undeliverable, unclaimed, refused, or because of an incorrect address, we will contact the customer when reasonably possible.

The customer may be required to pay the cost of shipping the order again.

Where a refund is requested instead, eligible refunds may be reduced by the original shipping cost, return transportation costs, customs charges, brokerage fees, and other carrier charges actually incurred, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

Lost Packages

If tracking indicates that a package may have been lost in transit, please contact us.

We can open an investigation or claim with the applicable carrier.

Carrier investigations can take time, particularly for international shipments. Refunds or replacements for confirmed lost packages will be handled in accordance with the circumstances of the shipment and applicable law.

Delivery Confirmation

A shipment shown by the carrier as successfully delivered to the shipping address supplied by the customer will normally be considered delivered.

Customers are responsible for providing a secure delivery location.

Where available and appropriate, signature confirmation may be used for valuable, original, framed, or limited-edition artwork.

Shipping Restrictions

We reserve the right to decline or cancel shipment to destinations where:

Carrier service is unavailable;

The product cannot legally be imported;

The package exceeds carrier limitations;

Transportation of the item presents an unreasonable risk of damage; or

Applicable sanctions, customs requirements, laws, or carrier restrictions prevent shipment.

If an order cannot be shipped for one of these reasons, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate refund for the affected unshipped merchandise.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs may be calculated at checkout based on the destination, dimensions, weight, value, and available shipping service.

Because large-format and framed artwork can require significantly larger packaging than the artwork itself, shipping charges may vary substantially between products.

Where free or promotional shipping is offered, the promotion applies only to the destinations and products specified in the offer.
